Empires, always appear their strongest just before their collapse

The main role of the Central Intelligence Agency with its US$ 38 billion annual budget at that time was to keep an eye on the USSR.  Along with all the innumerable 'experts' in 'Think Tanks', media, US State Department, The White House, The Pentagon they were all caught by surprise, when on 26 Dec 1991, the empire called Soviet Union dissolved into 15 Republics. This at a time when experts saw USSR as extremely powerful, none of them even had an inkling as to the likely collapse of the USSR

I mention the Soviet Union collapse, so readers can get a perspective on the reliability of so called 'experts' on China.

Nothing about China is as it seems. The opacity of the Communist Party of China's rule of China and its adroitness in concealing information to mislead the world and its own people coupled is legendary. With the narrative brought to us by 'experts' confined to their narrow disciplines and specialities makes understanding China indeed very challenging. One should not be taken in by propaganda and biased media reports, but study and verify the underlying facts, if one really wants to know the truth.

Hate blinds us to virtue and love blinds us to flaws. China too has its haters and lovers. Lovers because many politicians, financiers, media, universities and government servants are busy in bed with CCP. They toe and follow the CCP line of propaganda and strategy all the time.

The CCP has so brilliantly compromised most levers of power across the world, by using a mixture of bribery, blackmail and life threats, that it would make a blockbuster fictional crime story pale in comparison.

Now as dark clouds gather on the horizon, many of these powerful but compromised entities, lobbies and interest groups are busy convincing their constituencies, governments and the public of the need to be respectful,  to cooperate, in fact submit to China. Not because this is right, because they want to protect themselves and their interests.

The Guru Wonder article China, a country on steroids explains the gigantic quantum and sources of finance that fuelled China's rapid growth.

In an upcoming multi part series I will cover,
* What are the other key parameters that have driven China's remarkable perceived rise.
* Chinese fault lines, and the convergence of very powerful hostile forces against China.
* Share with readers information and analysis covering economics, finance, politics, technology, governance demographics, and military factors concerning China, indicating the ominous trends the fragility and the hollowness of China's power.

The imminent collapse of the China's CCP regime will cause great disturbance to the world, but will create great opportunities to build a better world. Those countries and organisations who prepare themselves for this tectonic shift will benefit the most.

It is relevant to remember that,
Even a Sun expands and burns brightest, just before it collapses.

The neck of the bottle is always at the top.

F requently requested to assist organisations large and small, I observe a common and recurring theme.  The issues revolve around the struggle of owners /managers to manage effectively. This is visible predominantly in companies that have started small and are growing, in family run businesses and families themselves. They are invariably puzzled that management approach, style and methods which worked so well in the past, now just don't work anymore. They resort to even more hard work and effort, yet the situation only worsens. Finding themselves in unfamiliar situations they dart here and there implementing fads, half hearted strategies alien to their thinking and character. They do this because they are getting frustrated and doing something is considered better than doing nothing. They change staff and managers. They churn product mix, vendors and even customers and markets. They try so many things but nothing seems to work. They chang...

You have to play the game to win it.

In life its not sufficient to be merely efficient but to also be effective. Someone once asked my father Man Singh ji, 'What is the secret of your success?'  He remarked, "I do not always make right decisions. I make decisions, and then almost always make them right" Read more ..........

The boss is always right

It was in 1502 that the egoistic mayor of Florence (Italy) Piero Soderini was under great pressure. He had appointed a novice to work on a giant piece of beautiful marble to make a sculpture under his guidance. Typical of many bosses Soderini had overestimated his own capabilities and by drilling a big hole in the middle of the block of marble Soderini and the novice had ruined it. Soderini had to find a solution, and  finally commissioned Michelangelo to do a sculpture . Michelangelo agreed and using the available shape decided to sculpt a young David with a sling in his hand. A few weeks later as the statue was finished, Soderini came to see the sculpture for himself. Soderini was pleased with what he saw. However like many patrons and bosses Soderini had to impose his ideas and have the last word. Soderini instructed Michelangelo to change the shape of the nose because it was too big. Michelangelo grasped the situation immediately realising th...
