The coming collapse of NATO

 In a damaged world, at the end of World War II, only two great powers remained standing, capitalist America and communist Soviet Union. Naturally they were rivals, and both sought to undermine the other in the pursuit of the goal of becoming and remaining the sole superpower. The Americans came up with a proposal to the war devastated countries, that chose to follow America. The USA would support countries to rebuild their nations,  provide massive financing, technology, manpower and material resources. Totally open up the American market to these countries to freely sell their goods and services in America. The only condition was America would write and control their security policy and in turn America would guarantee their security. Trying to Outrun the Bear - The West versus Russia.

  It's always a good idea to start with a story. Once two competing political leaders were walking through the woods when they attracted the attention of a huge bear. The bear noticed them and started to walk towards them. The first leader immediately opened his backpack, pulled out a pair of sneakers and started putting them on. The second man looked at him and said: “What are you thinking? You’ll never be able to outrun that bear!” “Oh, I know that, I don't have to outrun the bear, I only have to outrun you.” As a parallel and in the present circumstances the two leaders can be visualised as the Collective West and Russia. Both of them trying to outrun the bear which signifies social and economic danger and possibly even death. The well prepared Russians relying on their tremendous military capabilities, abundant natural resources and global goodwill are definitely better organised and prepared for the conflict on one hand.
