Fear or Adventure?

Uncertainty is a Reality. . Refusal to accept uncertainty,  leads to fear. Acceptance of uncertainty,  leads to adventure. Man is the only creature with an imagination. So he tries to peer into the future, plan outcomes in the hope of removing uncertainty. We are so intelligent that we usually fool even ourselves. Astrologers, Political Pandits, Stock Market Analysts, Economists, etc. all make a living by crystal ball gazing and make pronouncements to placate our fears of uncertain outcomes.  The number of variables are so many that their guess is as good as anyone else. In any event whatever outcomes they project, naturally there is a 50% probability of it actually occurring, so the forecasters become believable. A slick and confident forecast which results in favourable  outcomes can often fetch handsome rewards, including fame and wealth.   Usually we can afford to be adventurous but not always. Become Financially Intelligent or become a Slave.

One of my consulting clients recently asked me, "What is the leading cause of business failure or organisational collapse?  Research by many prestigious institutions like Dunn & Bradstreet show that the leading cause of organisational failure is bad cashflow management. Even hard work, sincerity, passion, talent, technology, great products, good markets etc. cannot save an organisation which has poor cashflow management. Sales is Vanity, Profit is Sanity, Cashflow is Vitality. __________________________________________________ What is cashflow? Simply explained it is the amount of cash that actually flows in and out through the accounts of a business. Blaming others is easy and allows us to deny the reality, that we may be the problem or the one causing the problem. We try to solve problems by changing partners, friends, and team members but rarely ourselves. A sure sign of a problematic person is one who sees negative things in everyone and everything all the time. Are you the problem  or the solution?
